Results: God I Love You – Ascot 12/03/2016

VENUE ASCOT, Saturday 12/03/2016
RACE CARBINE CLUB OF NEW ZEALAND SPONSORED BY CBUS 1:18 PM (1000m)
Horse GOD I LOVE YOU (JASON WHITING )
Finished 4th of 11

Summary

Really pleased with God I Love You’s effort to run on into fourth at his first start since November 28 and without a trial beforehand. He will obviously take a heap of benefit out of this run and providing we have no setbacks we expect him to be hard to beat when he lines up next in the Westspeed 2YO Plate (1200m) at Ascot on Wednesday March 23.

Results: Helder The Painter – Ascot 5/03/2016

VENUE ASCOT, Saturday 5/03/2016
RACE VISIT STONE MOTHERLESS AFTER THE RACES HANDICAP 5:15 PM (1400m)
Horse HELDER THE PAINTER (JASON WHITING )
Finished 9th of 10

Summary

A satisfactory effort from Helder The Painter when drifting back to last from the outside alley and never really getting a good crack at them. Was held up behind heels on the turn and had to change course on a couple of occasions, and by the time he got clear and balanced the race was well and truly over.

There is another Ratings 72+ Handicap over 1400 metres coming up at Ascot on Saturday March 19 and we are going to head there, and hopefully a better barrier draw will see us be able to take up a more forward position in running.

Trial Report: Trinicle – Belmont 29/02/2016

Summary
Trinicle competed in Heat 13 (1000 Metres 3YO MAIDEN) and we decided to ride him quietly and get him to run on late. Things went pretty much to plan with Jason Whiting keeping a firm hold of him early to settle at the tail and he made up good ground from the 600 metres to work home down the middle of the straight and finish second, beaten two lengths.

He is ready to go to the races now after being well-schooled through three educational trials and at this stage we are planning on him making his racing debut in the All Aged Maiden over 1000 metres at Pinjarra on Thursday March 10.

Trial Report: Royal Tipple – Belmont 29/02/2016

Summary
We’re going to have to put a line through Royal Tipple‘s disappointing first day at the trials as she simply played no part in it (Heat 12 – 1000 Metres 3YO MAIDEN). Jockey Jason Whiting reported that he felt something may have been amiss with her (shin-soreness) after she missed the start and was slow to get into stride, and as a result looked after her and used it more like a track gallop. Certainly not what we were all looking for, however, the positives are that she is only learning the ins and outs of being a racehorse and that she pulled up fine, with no injuries.

All going well we will head back to the Belmont trials on Monday March 14 and we will give her some more barrier practice (and track gallops) between now and then.
