Dueton out for well deserved rest

Stable champ Dueton has come to the end of a tremendous racing preparation and has today been sent to Bernie Miller’s Belle’s Park agistment centre for a well earned spell.

Dueton, who finished a fading sixth in Saturday’s listed $100,000 Miss Andretti Stakes (1100m) at Ascot, raced 10 times this campaign, beginning in September, posting one win and three placings and collecting $67,125 in stakes. The honest six-year-old actually pocketed prizemoney at eight of his 10 starts.

The son of Due Sasso, who has prizemoney totaling $446,275, will enjoy a minimum four-week break from training and may target the $125,000 Northam Stakes (LR-1100m) at Northam on May 1, however, the $100,000 Beaufine Stakes (LR-1000m) is a more likely option at this stage.
